A GUIDE TO NIGHTTIME ADVENTURE AND FAMILY FUN AT ELK CAMP
Pay your respect to the Norse God of Snow, Ullr, and you will be rewarded with bountiful snowfall! That's the philosophy behind the weekly winter party at Elk Camp in Snowmass Village. Ullr Nights takes place on Snowmass ski area from 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. every Friday during the ski season. And this weekly celebration has quickly become one of the most popular winter activities in the Roaring Fork Valley.
Perfect for an evening with friends, family, and kids, Ullr Nights starts off with an evening gondola ride up to Elk Camp, where the party unfolds into a nighttime winter wonderland. Dance to live music, warm up by the bonfire, roast marshmallows for s’mores, and grab a bite for dinner. After playing in the snow, kids can warm up inside with fun activities and entertainment located downstairs in The Tent.
ULLR NIGHTS ACTIVITIES
In addition to the bonfire, live music, and fire dancers, there are a host of snow activities. These are quite popular, and reservations are strongly encouraged.
- Night Tubing - Tubing is a fun activity for all ages. The multiple tubing lanes are each carved into The Meadows at Elk Camp to guide tubers down the run. They are lift-served and illuminated with bright lights, giving tubers an experience of this winter activity during Ullr Nights. Purchase a Ullr Nights Activities Pass to access this experience.
- The Breathtaker Alpine Coaster - Part of the Lost Forest, this alpine coaster takes riders on a thrill ride through over a mile of forest on an elevated track that drops 400 vertical feet. The 7-to-9-minute ride features curves and turns and can reach speeds up to 28 mph. Each slide car is equipped with lights, so riders can enjoy and see their route as they wind their way down the mountain. Purchase a Ullr Nights Activities Pass to access this experience.
- The Snowbike Tour - The blend of skiing and biking offers a unique and thrilling way to explore the ski slopes and mountains. Meet at 5 p.m. at the Four Mountain Sports in Snowmass Village Base Village to get started on this winter adventure. Reservations are required for this activity.
ULLR NIGHTS DETAILS
Ullr Nights at Snowmass is every Friday night, December through March. The last ride up to Elk Camp at 8:30 p.m., and the cost is $10 per person – reservations recommended.
Tip: It's best to load into the Elk Camp Gondola at least half an hour before your tubing or alpine coaster session begins to make sure you arrive on time. You must present your voucher at the venue. All activities are weather permitting.
